Hey, welcome to Resort Marketing Vids. Iâm Michael Grimm, here for the Resort Developers Association. Today Iâve got some very useful YouTube tips for you.
The most frustrating thing about technology is the very same thing that makes it so rich with opportunity â Itâs Always Changing.
Well, because of recent Google and YouTube changes the strategies we already use, when modified in the ways Iâll show you, are now even more effective than they have been.
These are a few small adaptations to our existing strategy that BIG differences. And it couldnât have come at a better time. Video is rapidly taking over. It already accounts for more than half of all internet traffic once people get home from work. And experts agree that ratio is only going to grow.
So, first, I strongly encourage you to start creating more video to capture the attention of new prospects. When people are searching for âinsert the form of recreation you provide here â online, you want them to find you. And you want them to find you first.
And Iâm about to show you how. Start with what we already know about YouTube and video marketing. Go back and watch the other videos in the Resort Marketing Video series to re-watch them if you need to.
Now, the first thing you can do, is, when youâre recording the video, direct the viewers attention to a link youâll place in your description that will take them to an landing page, and explain what theyâll receive on the page. This could be a discounted stay in a cabin, or a free night, or something like that.
The next thing you can do is inject your keywords to the title of the video filename before you upload it. For example, âniagarafallscabins.movâ.
The next change you need to make is when uploading your video to video sites other than YouTube. Instead of linking back to your website, include a link back to your YourTube video page.
The final thing you want to do is a little SEO work. Remember the video on tripling your SEO? Well, just like we talked about in that video, take your video and upload it to all the different video sites out there on the web. There are at least twenty good ones. Now all you have to do is get everyone in the office to log on to their Google/YouTube account and watch the video, and like the video. YouTube rewards videos that get watched all the way through. Simply clicking on the link, waiting for the video to load, then clicking away doesnât cut it.
These simple strategies will help you get the videos you want in front of the people you want. I hope you start creating videos with some good content that includes a solid offer to your prospects to start generating some online leads. Just be sure to have a solid landing page in place to capture their information.
